Well i have this weird problem running MM:8 on Win7 64bit polish version ( taking the name of the error could it be the cause ? ) , system is up to date with latest drivers .

As soon as i try to run the game i'll get 2 popups ( identical ) saying

Acces violation at adrss......
The name of the windw says getmultilanguagetexts

This error appears no matter what settings i choose in the setup ( hardware or software mode )
But the weirdest thing is that game runs in the background, sometimes when i try to go back to it's window it lets me through or throws another two popup windows with the same error

Next thing is that i cannot run it in windowed mode even if i chose it to launch in software mode in setup.

To make things clearer , error is not caused by faulty hardware ( as most acces violation errors could be ) for sure , memory had been checked with memtest . And i do not have any troubles running other games. And i do have unofficial Grayface's patch installed

If anyone else had similar problem and found the solution i'd be gratefull for any info.

I'm taking a total stab in the dark here, but it sounds like you're running up against one of Windows 7's dreaded security features.

Make sure you go to the control panel and turn "User account control (UAC)" OFF (the slider is alll the way at the bottom).

Make sure you are running your program as administrator.

You might also try moving your game folder out of Program Files (x86).

Check your firewall settings - I think that a lot of American-made firewalls consider anything coming through in a foreign alphabet to be a security threat.

Thanks for the reply but..
1. UAC is turned off
2. I am on the administrator account ( event though i tried to run it as administrator with no change )
3. Game folder is not in Program Files or Program files (x86) as i have separate disk with GAMES folder for that kind off apps.
4. Firewall and Antivirus are not an issue ( running with AVG in the background and windows builtin firewall ) as i tried to run the game with them turned off
