I'm on a nostalgia trip by playing Might & Magic 6 and beyond. Had no issues with 6, but cannot get 7 to function. The game opens but often has horrible graphical issues. It appears to be a matter of opening and closing until they go away, except when I get into the game and alt+tab they come back (see the attached image).

I have Greyface's patch, which doesn't appear to have done anything. I'm running as administrator and with compatability, which worked with MM6.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Image didn't attach previously.
think ya need a certain amount of posts to attach images, just use a gyazo link n remove the . before com
think I had the same bug for a while n redownloading the game worked it out, if you can't fix it you can just use the merged mod to play through mm7 and 8
In lieu of an image, the issue is that the UI (whether the title screen or the UI in-game) gets pink, shrinks to the left side of the screen, with buttons inputs in different positions to how they present visually, and a big black box appears on the right side of the screen.

yeah that's exactly what I had, pretty sure redownloading should fix it you can even save your saves
I get this if I am playing MM7 if I hit Windows Button or get a notification. Is that what you are experiencing?

Yes, it happens if I alt+tab to sort out music or check a notification. Anything that causes native resolution to encroach on whatever changes the game makes to run on Windows 10. Sometimes it just loads that way for no clear reason.

The sound is a bit choppy for me, so I can't really play without something in the background - something I had no issues with for MM6.

Tried re-installing a number of times and it hasn't rectified the issue.
Have you tried windows compatibility mode on Windows 10?

If not, control panel (Windows button + R then control panel); Program; then Program and Features.
Under that there should be a link that will try older versions of W that might solve the problem.
MM7 won't actually let me change that, it's locked on Windows 95.
Again. Don't know if this solves the problem. But Troubleshoot should be able to dictate the version.
