Greetings all. I recently purchased the MM1-6 pack and installed it on my HP tablet running windows 8. I was able to launch MM6 after running as admin and switching to Windows XP mode. I have played through MM6 a couple time in the past and I am very interested in playing MM4&5. I was not able to launch MM4&5 at all. I tried all the different compatibility modes (windows 8,7,Vista,XP). I also tried all all the different "Graphics mode setup" options. I'm basically looking for more advice on different options to try.

When I try and launch MM4&5, I briefly see the Command Prompt box flash on the screen, then it goes it goes away. I don't really see what the prompt box displays.

Edit the dosbox config file and remove the "exit" command from the end of it, and also uncheck the "Close on exit" for dosbox. This should give you enough time to read what the error message is.

Thank you for both of your replies. What seems to have fixed my problem is I was trying to launch the games from the desktop shortcut. I'm brand new to Windows 8. When I launched the app via the Apps list in the start menu, the game started right up. Thank you again!
