This took some work and some figuring a lot of dodging, and heavy use of fountains. Anybody do better?

Wow, that is certainly a very large and respectable score. Well done!
The highest I've ever seen was just over 1 million. There was a website that had a walkthrough of how to achieve this and a screenshot but I can't find any references to it any more. It must have been taken down.
