Is it just me or did MM9 kinda suck?

It was god-awful. I played it for an hour and gave up in disgust. It was ugly, unfun, buggy and incomplete. The graphics were hideous and lazy. The people in particular were simply unpleasant to look at. The landscape was featureless and jagged. The sound effects were annoying and repetitive. The character progression was boring and unrewarding. The monsters were uninspired and charmless. If MM9 shows up on this site they'll have to rename it "OG".

In all fairness to the criticisms for MM9, the game was developed and released within a year using a new engine. 3DO was desperate for money, so that's why the game was rushed out the door. The TELP fan patch helps a bit, but it's better to pretend MM9 never happened.
