My knight attack doesn't seem to increase even though I have expert in spear.

I have already installed Greyface patch 1.5.

Do I need to install M&M 7 Official Patch 1.1 as well.
The problem is I can't seem to install the patch 1.1.

If Greyface patch does work, do I need to start a new game?
Or does it work for saved game because in my situation, it does not seem to work.
