Hi, everyone.

I've been playing Might and Magic VI: Mandate of Heaven, and one of my sorcerers has Master Water Magic and I've been trying to get the enchantment that protects against stone (of the Medusa) and I can't seem to get it on either a valuable ring or a precious ring. I've trying and reloading but I always get either resistance or stats enhancements. I have several rings (witch rings, precious rings, lunar rings) and amulets (turquoise amulets, gothic amulets). Is it even possible to get status protection enchantments? I really want stone protection for facing medusas and gorgons and insanity protection for the maddening eyes. If anyone can help me it would be really appreciated because, I'm kind of frustrated with some much reloading. Thank you so much in advance!

Enchantment rarely gives more than what you have already gotten. Better luck to reload a magic shop in Free Haven or Blackshire. Blackshire has a fountain that gives a substantial protection against Magic and, with water master, you are able to get there readily. But you need the Stone to Flesh spell in at least one players book.

There isn't a good method for getting a specific enchantment beyond casting the spell a lot of times. Reloading lets you use all those castings on the same piece(s) of equipment, but there isn't much else you can do without resorting to editing the save. The specific piece of equipment you use is irrelevant, as long as it is valuable enough to be an enchant target in the first place.

There should be an artifact or relic that provides protection against stone. Also, try enchanting some shields?

I suggest not worrying about insanity, since it doesn't debilitate a character. You can just remove that one later, once you're done fighting the monsters that cause it.
