Hi,

I'm attempting to play World of Xeen, which requires Dosbox. I'm having trouble with it, because it errors out before I can even open it up, saying that Dosbox has encountered a problem and needs to close.

I'm running XP, have completely deleted Might and Magic and redownloaded, and tried downloading a new version of dosbox. I've even imported it into Steam, and it still didnt work. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do?

Change graphic mode to something different (there is setup in Menu Start->GOG.com-><game name> ).
And remember to run the game from desktop shortcut, not directly from the game folder.
Going to need some more information here. If you downloaded Dosbox I'm assuming your using the native Dosbox and not the one supplied by GoG? If so, have you tried running with the default installed dosbox (by simply double clicking the game shortcut)? I've never had much of an issue with dosbox on XP but make sure you delete everything having to do with dosbox and do a fresh install and try again. Are you on 64-bit XP or 32-bit? I've heard some issues running it in 64-bit before as well. Do you have dual monitors? It can be an overlay issue as well which will need to be adjusted in the dosbox config.

Post your specs and the exact situation and we can help ya get it running...

This seems to have worked, thank you so much!
I just downloaded all the Heroes of Might and Magic bundles and they run in DosBox (from GoG). Unfortunately the mouse is either hypersensitive or completely insensitive making it impossible to click on anything. I also end up with two mouse cursors - the normal black one and the in game one and they are definitely NOT in sync. I've tried playing with the mouse sensitivity in the control settings, but it does not work at all. Please help!

Have you tried pressing Ctrl+F10 to capture the mouse cursor.

What OS are you using? Have you tried playing around with your Windows mouse settings?
