I know that everything on GoG is DRM free, but didn't Metro Exodus use Denuvo? I have hesitated purchasing this game for that exact reason but if for some reason the GoG version is free of the cancerous performance-sucking rootkit that is Denuvo, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Can anyone confirm?

Just removed on Steam as well, so yes.

Steam still says it has DRM

so either it's just been updated and they haven't updated the page or GOG has the only Legal DRM Free Guaranteed version
I'm also interested to know if Denuvo has been removed entirely form the game. If it has then I'll buy the game immediately!

Edit: well, I guess it is removed!

Well that settles it, boys, looks like I'll be paying Mother Russia a visit very soon!
But it still has the even more evil Easy Anti Cheat, that stutters the heck out of rigs, or stops them from loading.
If that was removed, and they actually had a REAL pc port, this game would have been awesome.
Instead, its just a pee poor console game with VERY little pc support. You can see they are trying to sell this console game everywhere they can, because they paid the pubs and devs way more than the game would have sold, even w/o the whole steam/epic thing.
But, if they removed denuvo, its a start.
If they remove EAC then I might be able to play the game (I have owned it since 2017, when I pre-ordered on steam day 1), but when I get to the row boats I just get sleepy, and it took me weeks to even get the game to get past the publisher/developer/epic screen just to be able to play it.
I still would advise against getting the game, unless you like stale dialog (which sometimes doesnt even pertain to the scene you are in), to crashes and the GRIND once you get to the boats (after the train).
It just isnt a very good game, let alone a good metro game (and I used to be a HUGE Metro & 4A fan).
Game's DRM Free and is really good! After marathoning the first two games, I've been having a blast with this. It is a great conclusion to the story, with well developed characters and refined gameplay mechanics from the first two games. Can't wait to do a new game plus.

Wait what...? Why would a singleplayer Metro game have EAC?
