Game invariably crashes when I try to start from the Chapter menu. Even with PhysX off. Help?

I don't know if you ever got an answer to this problem, but I had this problem a when I tried using my mouse, or Xbox Controller to select and confirm a chapter to go back and get more of my achievements after I finished the game and the game would crash. I have found that if I use the keyboard arrow keys to select the chapter and use Enter on the keyboard to confirm everything works just fine.
