So I got 2033 redux added years ago, because it was linked through my steam account. Now I never checked the store until now but just assumed that last light was not added to GoG at all and this was why I didn't get that redux for free.
Now I see last light IS in the GoG store.
Not complaining, anything for free is good and you can't complain at NOT getting something for free really, can you? But I just wondered if there was some reason why 2033 redux was linked through steam and not last light redux?

Talking about a GOG Connect promotion from yesteryear, are you? I never got that one despite Metro 2033 being my first ever game on Steam and nearly the last I paid for. As for your question: Who knows. Maybe they wanted to be only somewhat generous. Last Light was cheapest ever during the spring sale last month so it ended up in my trolley and library.

Well I got both versions, regular and redux (regular with all paid and free DLC as well), of last light on steam.
Also have both versions, regular and redux, of metro 2033 on steam as well.
I think I have a pre-steam boxed version of the original 2033 somewhere in an old box as well actually.

What I'm trying to say is, I'm not really in a rush to pay for any of these versions of metro any time soon. Much as I would like to have a DRM-free version of last light redux, it's not really worth me buying it at any price, considering I already have the game twice on steam.

Thanks for the response, guess I'm just shit out of luck on this. For some strange reason, they decided to link 2033 redux but not last light redux. It's weird to me that they did it that way, but hey, it's up to them at the end of the day. And I certainly can't call out GoG/CDPR for being greedy and stingy.
Because they most definitely are NOT greedy or stingy.
