Hello everyone,

Is it possible that GOG is offering an older version of the game here compared to Steam? In videos or on Twitch, when I occasionally watch someone, they seem to be playing version 2.x, but here on GOG, there's only v1.5.2.2. How long has this been the case? I recently bought the game here on GOG and I'm wondering why this is. How long does it take for the developer to release updates here?

I'm really confused ... and somewhat disappointed if that's the case.

Thank you for any information you can provide.

Regards,
melcom

The devs/Toplitz have a sketchy track record of supporting their releases, cept on Steam. N uff said...
Hey o/

I received the following response from Render Cube regarding X:
We are currently working on making the newest version of the game accessible on every platform so we hope that you will be able to enjoy it as soon as possible! We are really sorry for the inconvenience

I believe it when my GOG version also gets the latest update. Right now I feel like they just wanted to push Steam sales with this IMO unnecessary delay. I mean, we talk about PC vs. PC version, how different can they be?
Hey!

Just wanted to contribute cause I own the game for a while now and am on the Toplitz discord where the communication have been better than on other platforms.

Gog updates have always been delayed compared to steam.
I think this is the case with other games too, atm I only recall Manor Lords, the dev also made a post about the reasons.

The version currently available on gog is the version right before the big coop update which went from 1.5.2.2 to 2.0.0.0. On steam there have been several updates fixing bugs that came with the coop update including betas. That's why the version numbers are so far apart.

As with all games that are still in development, the focus is on steam, and unfortunately the infos don't spread to other platforms. These are still indie devs who are delivering free updates after leaving early access, which is great.
I personally have never made a game before and have no idea why they couldn't release the steam updates the same time on gog and epic, but there must be a reason to that.

December 23 with the steam update they released (or re-posted) a roadmap which can be found in the news-hub which said: coop update for consoles and other platforms: Q1/Q2 2024.
So that delay is not a secret, just really hard to find.
I guess gog is just not big enough to get all news, we have to get informed by ourselves. I really like gog but that sucks.

They also made a post on steam and discord three days ago regarding the update.

TL;DR It's not abandoned, communication is bad, gog is always behind, update should come soon. Get your infos from steam news-hub
