Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I didn't see any threads about this and googling didn't help either.
I'm having a problem with the graphics in the original MDK. The textures occasionally flicker and turn completely white, like the floor in the attached image. Sometimes even Kurt turns into a giant white rectangle for a moment or two. This makes the game a tad too surrealistic and headache inducing. Does anyone have a way to fix this?

Thanks, that solved it. I just didn't realize I had to install a separate .exe.
What do you mean by "change to software mode in option"?
I am having the same problem with textures flickering to white, but despite my numerous attempts to correct the issue it keeps on happening.
EDIT: Never mind, I found out. I am trying the software version now.
EDIT 2: It works!! GOG is awesome!

I'm having the same problem and it turns out that I'm too stupid to figure out what this means on my own. Can someone explain this?

Hi,
when I remember correctly, the standard-link to the game refers to the mdk.exe. Start the game with the mdk_soft.exe (also in the game folder). This should work.
Greetings

During instaltion go to Options page and select MDK Software to be installed with the game. The you will have additional link in Start Menu.
it's not really solved, as using the software renderer the graphics looks blocky and the textures doesn't have bilinear filtering :( the game is playable but you get a version that's basically worse than the one you've played during your childhood

Can you add please words "during instalation" behind option please? Like: "Try to change to software mode in option (during instalation), this should help :) ". I was looking for a long time until I checked this possibility :(
Hm, I launched the MDK_soft.exe ( after reinstalling ), but now the textures themselves seem wrong. They have pink squares on them, my healthbar has multiple colours, and so on.
I'm on windows 7 with a Geforce 8400 M GS and the latest drivers.. Any ideas? :/
EDIT: Nevermind, it's solved, thanks to: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/MDK_Series/what_the_heck
That'll teach me to search the forums first before asking a question. Sorry for that. :)
