This game is mimicked by newer, more popular titles. It has at times been blatantly copied. I played this thing to the bone back in the day. My only complaint is that, as with so many of these kinds of games, you can eventually make your hero invulnerable. Yet for its time, the treaties, the options, the enchanting, the city management - it all comes together to form a game that was way ahead of its time. I only fear that if I get this then I'll sit in front of the computer for a good 8 hours!

Master of Magic is a Turn-based Strategy game. Not RTS.

A reasonable fear. :) Best to keep a clock nearby. :)
I started playing this game a couple of weeks ago and I'm really loving it!
