Hello everyone!

I have got a question concerning the champion Mystic X.

Are there any specific requirements to summon him? I was not able to get him via the summon champion spell.

Thanks for your help!
This question / problem has been solved by Bookwyrm627image
wiki says you need Fame of 20+ for him to be available
which seems about right from my experiences

though as with everything if the RNG hates you not much you can do
guess you could try saving just before your spell finishes and reload if you don get any hero you like

He should be in the pool of champions that can be called by that spell, unless he previously died.

What makes you think he isn't available? More details may help narrow down the cause.

Do you already have all six hero slots filled? Are you using the base game, or a mod?

The fame pre-req only applies to determine which heroes might show up at your door looking for work, not who is available to be summoned by the Summon Champion spell.

Summon Champion is able to call any of the 6 basic champions, and it can also call either of the two Life Champions or either of the two Death Champions if you have at least one Life/Death spell book, respectively.

Just to highlight this question (and because the forum is kind of wonky): What makes you think you can't summon him? What have you tried?

1) How many heroes do/did you have when you finished casting Summon Champion?
2) Are you sure you cast Summon Champion, or might you have cast Summon Hero by mistake?
3) Have you previously employed Mystic X in this save (whether by summoning him, simply hiring him, or freeing him as a prisoner)?

Hello and thank you for your answers!

I play the basic game version of gog.com in German.

In my game i have 5/6 Heroes - Ravashak, Mortu, Death Stryke, Sir Harold and Warrax.

My Summon Champion Spell only grants me now Allora or Aerie.

No, i did not have employed Mystic X in the game.

I play with Myrranian, Alchemy and the Artificier. My race is Dark Elf, and I posses one Death Book and five Sorcery Books.

In my previous game, I used the same traits, but one Life Book and five Sorcery Books. My race there was Beastmen.

I was only able to get Elana, Roland, Death Stryke, Sir Harold and Warrax. Summon Champion only granted me again Allora or Aerie.

Mystic X is summoned via Summon Champion in GOG's standard install. If you had an unpatched version from CD, then Mystic X might still be in the pool from Summon Hero (leaving only 5 basic Champions).

It sounds like you're just a victim of the RNG. I see no reason Mystic X would be unavailable to you. If you don't mind save scumming (repeatedly reloading the turn before completing the spell) that would be the fastest way of making him show up. Be aware that it may take a number of reloads before he shows up (far more than you might expect when only 3 heroes are left in the pool); don't get discouraged.

To check whether Mystic X is indeed completely unavailable, you could try this:
1) Save your current game. The actions you'll be taking next are just a test, not meant to reflect actual play, so not save scumming. Load this save once you've finished the test.
2) Cast Summon Champion. Just click End Turn until the spell is cast; you'll be loading after the test, so nothing that happens here really matters (unless you are banished, so don't get banished).
3) If you get Aerie or Alorra, then send them into a power dungeon/node/ruin and get them killed. This will free up the hero slot and remove them from the pool of available heroes. While they are moving toward their grave, go ahead and start casting Summon Champion again.
4) If you get the other of Aerie/Alorra, then proceed to get them killed too.
4) Once you've gotten Aerie and Alorra killed, then cast Summon Champion one more time. Mystic X, being the only Champion left in the pool, should show up (if he didn't show up in the first two casts). If you get a message that no hero answers your call (assuming you still only have 5 heroes in your employ), then let us know, because something is wrong.

If you are really want Mystic X instead of Alorra or Aerie, then you could do the above to get them killed (and removed from the pool of available heroes) instead of dismissing them or declining their services when they show up. It is a little expensive in mana and time, but it will remove the "competition" and increase the chance of Mystic X answering your call. If you win the battle, then you won't lose fame because a hero died (you'll need two different battle sites to get them both killed, though).
Hi Bookwyrm627!

I have killed Aerie and Allora, and now the game says, that there is no other champion to summon. Sometimes the spell is successfull, but I only get normal heroes like B'shan or Bagthru.

The language is not the main problem, isn´t it?

You're getting B'shan from Summon Champion? Ouch.

Sounds like your game is bugged, and Mystic X just isn't in the pool for some reason. Sorry. :(

I guess you could see if he's in the Hero pool (as opposed to the Champion pool) by getting all the heroes killed until no one answers the call from Summon Hero.
It is not that dramatic, but could a reinstall be of help, maybe with English language package? Or should I use some patch?

I expect a reinstall would not help, because the problem is (probably) already within the saved data. It wouldn't hurt to try, though.

You could try installing the English language version, I guess. I don't know what differences exist between English and non-English versions, so I have no idea if that would help.
I presume, that there is something wrong with the version itself. This save and the last one seem to be corrupted.

I reinstall and figure it then out.

Thank you for your time and help.

Try casting Summon Hero over and over, getting each one killed so you don't see them again. Maybe in your version, Mystic X is still in the Hero pool, rather than the Champion pool.

Out of curiosity, why did you want him instead of Alorra or Aerie, anyway?
It is just the feeling of being complete, and he could be very strong with the right abilities.

Edit: You were right - after killing all other heroes, Mystic X is still in the summon hero pool.

What a mess. :/ Then the gog.com version must be the one which is unpatched.

Since he has 5 random picks, he can either be really good (if he gets 5 good picks) or pretty bad (if he gets 5 bad picks), but he tends to be in the middle somewhere.

I know the English version is patched up to 1.31; it is what I use, and Mystic X is in the Champion pool for me. Perhaps the non-English versions didn't get the full patch or something? *shrug*

At least now you know!
