I had the boxed version of Majesty, and played a couple of levels recently on Windows 10. I had to check Windows 2000 compatibility mode, but it was stable. I saw that the HD version was on sale here for a few bucks, and figured that it would be more compatible with newer versions of Windows and have better graphics.

Graphics look about the same from what I can see. However, the game is pretty much unplayable, because I can't seem to scroll around the level very well with the mouse. It will scroll sometimes, but not dependably.

Sometimes it will scroll left, but then not back to the right, for example. I have tested the mouse in other games and in other programs, and it seems to be working fine. This seems to just be an issue in Majesty. It is INCREDIBLY frustrating.

It is kind of disappointing to buy what I thought was a classic version, updated to work better on the latest versions of Windows. However, with the mouse scrolling issue, it went from fun to annoying.

Has anyone else seen similar issues with the mouse? I have tried various video settings, but still have the issues with the mouse not scrolling to see other parts of the map.

GOG generally uses the sold version of games, possibly with some mods to fix problems. So a graphical update wasn't in the cards for this one. Modern system support definitely should be, though it looks like Windows 10 isn't supported for this particular game.

I've got the GOG version, and it works just fine on my Windows 7 machine. I haven't seen any mouse scrolling issues. Have you checked the options settings in-game? I think there were a few related to the mouse.

You could also contact GOG support. Since you have a Win10 machine, I'm not sure what they'll tell you, but it is worth a shot.

Hey, got the same issue as dilby2. Can't normally play the game, bc not able to scroll the window smoothly, so forced to click on a mini map or use arrows. Is there any solution for this?

actually, have just experimented - uncheck Windowed mode in the game's options, screen resolution section
