I love majesty (it's available native under linux) and would love to use the hd version. Could someone give me a reply if it works with wine?

It works with wine, but it's very slow at least on OS X (even at 1024x768, regardless of the bit depth and the ddraw settings). I've now finally submitted a bug report about this to Wine, along with a temporary workaround at the Wine source level (although the workaround is Mac-specific, it should be easily adaptable to Wine's X11 backend). Happily playing Majesty HD Gold now at 1920x1080 :)

Hey -- any news on this? I'm about to use your patch, but I wonder if wine provides timers, which is what you want to do here: create a timer to call glFlush, and then do nothing if the timer hasn't fired yet.

Yes, it does. But I recommend to get Steam's version. Because you would get steam's cross-platform multiplayer there. Game works out of the box with Proton, including playing multiplayer matches with Windows users. dml
