Hello is there any way to access the sound FXs files and use them elsewhere?

I tried to extract them in-game, but there is always the sound of Wind during the day or the sound of Night going on which makes it impossible to extract them with the game on the fly.

Otherwise is there a way on how to access the .DAT file with the sounds from the original game? i still have the files for the original CD?
