I can't be sure, but it seems this game is running awfully slowly. For example, even after casting one meteor spell, the game slows way down. From what I recall of playing this back in the day, it was a bit harder to slow the game down like this. Any hints for speeding things up? I followed some of the trouble-shooting tips. I couldn't quite get the graphic mode setup thing to work (it says the game isn't installed for some reason, even though I can launch it from the desktop icon), so that may be the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello there! Have you tried increasing the available cycles within dosbox? You can do this by pressing the CTRL+f12 buttons.

If it goes too high and the game starts slowing down again, you can reduce the cycles with f11.

Carefull not to overdo it though, since this does increase processing power required.

You can tell how many cycles are available by runnign the game in windowed mode, which is togglable with ALT+Enter.

I like to run the game at around 40000 myself. See how it works for you.
