I discovered today a remake of Magic Carpet called Arcane Worlds. It's still in alpha but it's availlable for preorder. So if someone is interested in it, visit:

I believe that they're also running a crowdfunding campaign; it's not doing terribly well at the moment, I fear, so spreading news of it might be helpful to them.
