im having a problem where if i was to leave a such area after a long period or battle as such i find that the game crashes. the weird thing about this is the fact that if i was to load the game before i had done any of the fighting and entered the area i could easily leave with no problems at all. i would much appreciate if anyone could give me any advice or help as such.

I had a crash when i was trying to leave one of the barcelona shops. It crashed everytime i left the shop, it was during the war part by the way, and it stopped when i cast more spells on myself before i left.
This won't be much of a help but i guess, but still you might try it :).

I remember having had this problem several years ago with some character, though I'm not sure about how the situation was in detail.
Have you possibly played the character you use in multiplayer mode before? This sometimes causes bugs.
If not, I would just try to play on a little bit. If the problem repeats and continues occurring the character might be bugged in some way. Then I would suggest to load an earlier savegame and repeat playing form this savegame on. This might help.
