I've had a brief search but can't find much info around on what is on offer in terms of playable races / classes, available abilities etc.

I assume such things are listed in the manual... Would anyone who has already pre-ordered please be kind enough to fill me in? Many thanks!

According to the manual there are four races and three classes.
Races:
- Human
- Minotaur
- Lizardman
- Insectiod

Classes:
- Fighter
- Mage
- Rogue

Here are the different runes which are used to describe spells:
Fire, life, air, spirituality, balance, physicality, earth, death and ice.

I'm actually really impressed with the customization in the game.. for how simple it ultimately is. When you start you get to pick two traits too, which range from innate armor (exclusive to the insectoid), 3 attack power per skull carried (exclusive to the minotaur), to the regular old +2 str. Plus, each skill, i.e. daggers or armor, gets abilities every so often from skill lvl 1 - 50.
