I'm receiving error message reading

The procedure entry point
??1critical_section@Concurrency@@QAE@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCR100dll

What does that mean?
How can I rectify this?

MSVCR100.dll errors/problems can usually be fixed by installing the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++

Thanks for replying.

I've done what you suggested, and....still the same message.

Any opinions?

Thanks.
Try uninstalling the game and reinstalling to see if it asks to install Microsoft Visual C++. Maybe something in the install gets buggered up.

Could try this site:

Also if you post your question on the official grimrock forum there might be more people able to help you.
So far I've posted on the official forum, i still get not much replies beyond what OS I'm using (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit (6.1 Build 7601).

Any suggestions?

Where are you encountering that error? Game launch, while playing, while installing or something else?

This post may be of use to you.

Found while Googling the entire error message you posted. In short, use the latest DirectX Web Installer and make sure your graphic card drivers are recent.

While launching the game.

I did some of their other suggestions, like downloading the DLL-Files Fixer, now this message pops up:
C:\Windows\system32\MSVCR100.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support.
Holy crap, I did it!

All I did is deleting the frelling msvcr100.dll! And now I'm frolicking with glee in Grimrock!

Thanks for your help!
