When I attempt to launch the game after installing it, I get a pop up tellig me "the program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

I have attempted to reinstall it a few times with no success.

Any idea what this could be?

I've download other games from GOG with no problems. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

I installed over my dx11 and the game now works and I still show that I am running dx11.so thanks for the help everything is fine now. I HAVE DX11 INSTALLED SO THAT SHOULD BE FINE OR WHERE DO I GET DX 9. CAN YOU HAVE BOTH INSTALLED?

The game was made with DirectX9, so having Directx11 won't really help you much. If you need to update Directx9 (which CAN be installed along with Directx11 in a Windows 7 machine) just click on the link essi2 provided :)
