So as soon as the release time hit the developer's website crashed. I suppose we can consider this good news, as it means enough people wanted to download that they crashed their server. I bought directly from them to get the steam key but that won't let me download yet either, kind of wish I'd just ordered from GOG like I had planned to...

IF you ordered direct, you SHOULD have a link from the humble site to a "direct" download as well as having been given a STEAM key.

I'm dling via direct as steam is still telling me not released yet.

Check your email and grab the link they sent you when you completed your purchase. The link goes to the Humble Bundle Store with your direct download.

already downloading direct download, do think steam or almost human could of got there act together for the steam version

Yeah, thanks everyone. I should have specified: I have the direct link and everything but I WANT my steam key to work. The name of the steam item in my games list is "Legend of Grimrock Pre-order" and isn't associated with the actual game so it won't let me do anything, even though I could buy the game on Steam from the Grimrock page directly right now. It's rather frustrating. I like keeping my games in steam and I'm a big fan of achievements so I'll just wait for it to be rectified. There's a bunch of people on their FB page with the exact issue.

From my experience, Steam unlocks preorders pretty late. Even Valve games were unlocked on Steam an hour to three hours late.

I also have it. Have tried quitting and restarting steam a few times to no effect.

Their countdown timer was for 10a PDT, and the store page changed from pre-order to order a few minutes before then, but my client is/was still showing "not released" but apparently for some people it DOES allow downloading.

I don't really care as I just grabbed from the "direct" dl anyways.

They're aware of the issue at least, from their twitter: "We're looking into the issue of Steam preorder keys not being activated yet. Just a moment please :)"

Fixed! Downloading on Steam now.
