One of the rooms you enter is a grid-based teleporter puzzle. Stepping on one plate opens a way in very specific directions. The only way to open the door is to press a switch on the wall. Yet, when I do, Im stuck in place and the only way to move is to enter a teleporter which puts me at the start and closes the door I tried to open.

Anyone know how to get past this puzzle? Its starting to drive me nuts.
Nevermind. Stroke of luck and I complete it.

Wow. Havent had puzzles like this in a video game for a long time.

You should at least post how you did it
Once you figure it out, the rules are actually kinda simple. Stepping onto a plate will flip all of the adjacent plates. Teleports which were off turn on, and teleports which were on turn off. Basically, you want to always be moving onto a plate which has a lit up chain of teleporters that you can follow around.

Facing in the direction of the door, the solution is:

w,w,w,d,s,a,s,d,w,a,s,a, hit button and turn back to face the door again, w,d,s,a,w,d,s,d,w,a,w,d, exit the room.
That puzzle really needs some thinking ;)

The most important rule is not to rush to the switch and then try to rush to the door. You will be walking several loops before you reach the exit.
