When Raziel first encounters the Soul Reaver at the start the game my computer either freezes or crashes. At the very point when the blade is being joined, the crazy particle system causes my laptop to crash. My laptop has Windows 8, 4 gigs of RAM and integrated graphics; the game is set on max settings (1366x768 Resolution, Anit Filtering and aliasing). Because I have to start the whole fifteen mints all over, I haven't tinkered with the settings. I'm not sure if this is a graphical problem or a game problem that need a simple patch.

Have you tried running the game in Windows xp compatibility mode?

cosminm: Have you tried running the game in Windows xp compatibility mode?
The game runs fine, its when Raziel is joining the Reaver at the start is when it crashes, at the exact same part too.
