The IP got bought by Embracer Group (together with a bunch of other games and studios) from Square Enix, and they have mentioned Legacy of Kain by name and then talked about remakes/remasters/sequels and whatnot, which seems to imply the IP is being considered at least for one of those.
Still, the acquisition is still very recent, so I wouldn't expect any news for at least a couple of years, other than maybe some more specific announcements as to what they plan for LoK.
