Any news on what is happening with that?
No, there is no any updates. At all. In private to. This is some dependencies usually. This time for you it more looks like something happen to your installation and GOG Galaxy re- download it.
It not looks like there is dependencies that can get update.

For more info you can look to GOGDB. If private build for a moment appear is public it will listed there. There is a count of private builds. There is private build with some update - but it is very old. There is GOG DX Wrapper but it was same as in many games with win10fix update label (or without that label).

Current public build from 2018 (not so differ from GOG release '12) already have some fixes including some from community (Paul_met and Wrace). It is playable as is on most machines. Well, some Nvidia drivers can bring flickering issue. You need draw wrapper (eg from narzoul but 3.0.1 version or some more advances wrappers). GOG DX not available for public. There is a bit differ and one of the latest build of it in Blood Omen 1 if you have bought it here. Although it can be not fully compatible.

You no need to wait for updates to play this game if you already have it. It was delisted for legal issues as already happened before in some stores (and before GOG/Steam in '12-13). You can get wrapper from GOG from BO and you get such updated game that can come. There is nothing more to come, never be.

See, this is why I prefer to buy external HDDs and just download the entire offline installer.
Wasn't it delisted time ago?

Now it is back and updated for windows 10/11. Patched for proper widescreen, gamepads, sound etc. It runs under the gog ddraw wrapper, apparently
Well, it's great that this release fixed almost all of the problems with getting it up and running. Except the controller does nada in-game for me. It works in the menus, but nothing really works once you get to control Raziel. Anyone else facing this?

wrace.: It does not fix problems with sound and does not provide any additional fixes of this mod:

Also it contains wrong version of WideScreen Mod and not the best version of 60 FPS fix.

Moreover, it provides incompatibility with saves of any other version (without any reason for this).

And, of course, it does not contain the fix which resolves this "problem" with unworking by default gamepad in the game - just choose gamepad in internal game settings instead of keyboard.
Thanks, I had a bit of a derp moment and forgot it had to be enabled in the menu, which most games from SR's time period needed done. I agree there's still more to be done to fix this, and I would like the control scheme to be modernised enough so that I can actually use the thumbsticks with this game on PC. Well, someday maybe.
