Main attraction points for me:
-deep story covering very mature and complex social/cultural issues
-intricate quest sequencing and significant consequences: choices made in your quests affect the endings, determine the stories and options in other quests, as well as which other quests are available
-ability to reallocate skill points anytime throughout the game when not in combat
-Viking inspired storyline
-crafting system ("Virtually every item you collect in game can be crafted. There are thousands of items to create in Kyn.")
-puzzles
-focused on dynamic gameplay more than graphics (but still looks nice)
-tactical party combat
-temporary time slowdown instead of pause/play, making combat more intense
(nice change of pace to mix things up for fans of Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Pillars of Eternity)
-several years of game development, not rushed; from a small, dedicated team, free to do what they want with it
-Linux release planned! (and Mac, but I don't use that; I dual boot Linux Mint Cinnamon edition and Windows 7)
-low price! (for the length of the main story, side quests, and replayability, I'd say it's plenty fair)
Here's a better trailer, IMO, than ones on the store page:

Some more gameplay (I personally very much enjoy the soundtrack):
