So if anyone wants to help me make a Let's Play series i would appreciate it if you critique my video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0c1uGuU6LR0
I've never made a lets play before so i need to know if i'm doing it right, and just an honest beat down in general. i can't make it better if you don't blurt out whatever comes to mind. just as long as it's true.
disclaimer: i know there are people and tv in the background, but i had some issues with my headset mic and therefor had to use my webcam mic that was running as a backup plan.
things i'm particularity interested in are:
1) did that background noise ruin the whole video for you?
2) did that background noise in any way perhaps add some life by showing you more than just what you see on the cam?
3) did the webcam add any value to the video?
4) did you like that through most of the video i didn't speed or cut things?
5) in future video would you prefer i tried to speed things up but cutting or fast forwarding things more aggressively?
6) in future video would you prefer that i eliminate the webcam and keyboard overlay so to make the download faster?
7) did the keyboard overlay add value?
8) if it did, would you have preferred it been smaller but more visible without thin outlines on the keys?
9) did you like the comments i sprinkled throughout the video in red?
10) should i add or use them more often, or less?
11) should i ditch live commentary and webcam in favor for post-recording commentary like i did with the red comments?
12) did i keep the pacing of the video entertaining?
13) did my live commentary/voice need work?
14) EXCLUDING the background noise, what did you think of the mic quality?
this is all i can think of, all of the potential answers help me to make a better LP next time.
update: E2 is out, playlist is here playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdSl223_yxmELDwz-kxWdKESAjmVyXGzg
