The floppy version USED TO be freeware, but it isn't anymore, and this is the CD version anyway.

Basically it was given away for free for a brief period of time to promote Betrayal in Antara. It was never legal to download it from anywhere but the official website, but people assumed that they could just pass it around whereever they liked, leading to the thinking that it is still a freeware game, which hasn't been true for years.
