One thing I enjoyed about this game is that each chapter had a very unique feel to it. Each chapter does a great job of evoking a different mood: chapter one feels very hectic, chapter five offers a fun bit of exploration, and chapter seven is downright creepy.
As for me, my favorite has to be chapter three. I love busting down doors all through the city and scouring the frightened inhabitants' loot, and this chapter seems to have the best pickings (even though that might just be a flaw of my perception). I also enjoy the mystery leading up to the discovery of Kendaric, as it features quite a few interesting twists.
:My favorite is Chapter 7. The story and atmosphere were detailed enough to rank alongside some of the best horror-adventure games. (I particularly liked the use of the word "eldritch" in one of the item descriptions.) But of course it retained the RPG goodness in the form of BATTLES WITH VAMPIRES.
My least favorite were the "chapters" with William. Practically no decisions to make, no character development, no exploration whatsoever, etc. Would it have killed the game designers to let William wander around in a forest a bit instead of ending each chapter right after combat?

Funny how simple thugs and townsmen often carry magical weapons and armour. Easy money, though.
