It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I have the insane color issues many old games have on Windows Vista/7, but none of the usual fixes are working here. I have tried disabling explorer while I play, I have tried leaving the resolution window open, I have tried alt-tab and then back.

Nothing works.

Have you tried playing around with the DosBox configuration file in the Betrayal at Krondor folder? Changing the output varable to opengl or ddraw sometimes helps in such situations.
There's a setup graphic mode tool in the game start menu folder, give that a try.
upgrade the included dosbox if possible

The pre pack installer came with 0.73, but the pack installer comes with 0.74.

None of them change anything, sadly.

That's weird, i tried the pre pack and the current pack installers and i'm not getting messed up colors with either of them

You're running stuff as Admin ? The game shortcut, the graphic mode tool to make sure changes do stick ?

Ends up it's a nvidia driver thing... the newest betas basically break anything that doesn't run in your native resolution. Everything is all better now on the previous drivers.

Thanks anyway guys.
New drivers are always a loose canon, they can fix things or break things, often they do both. I usually put off updating them unless i have a particular problem that i know an update will fix.

In any case, it's good to know you managed to sort it out.
