I already installed Return to Krondor but didn't play it yet. As I never played RtK before I would like to look into manual, but there is not such thing in the download tree. Does it mean game play is so simple it doesn't need any manual?
I'm finding the same and I'm not having any luck finding it online (not even at replacementdocs.com )
I sent a message to gog.com support, we'll see if that yields anything. If I find one online I'll post a link here.

I am having the same problem. I can't believe GOG overlooked that.
It is a fairly intuitive game to play, but I am missing important things. For instance, I didn't know one could press the [ and ] keys to change the angle of the scene until I've found it on a walkthrough. I was missing a chest because of that and navigation was very grating because there's no hot spots to know where to click to change screen. I also still don't know what key to press to run either.
Also, the effect some skills have in the game is not obvious. What is used to assess unidentified objects? Is it analyse, evaluate or both? What is perception for?
Help?
The manuals for Betrayal at Krondor can be found at replacementdocs.com:

EDIT: ooops, my mistake, you were looking for manuals for Return to Krondor. The best I could find were a Prima Strategy guide at amazon.com and a hints-and-tips fan website (http://chazzle.tripod.com/rtk.html)

I have it. I found it on the internet a while ago.
But I don't know where I found it and I don't know how to transfer it to you (its 20mb).
I guess you could PM me your e-mail address?

I think you hold the CTRL key down and click to make him run / jog :)
You can also use ctrl + the arrow keys to move, which I always found easier.
Analyze is used to identify object. I think evaluate is used to assess enemies strength in combat (its completely useless, as I recall).
Perception? Hmm... Something to do with trapped chests? I'm not sure.
I just checked the manual. Apparently perception helps you spot ambushes and "other threats".
