I've gotten past the crash-during-the-intro problem. For some reason the first time I play after a reboot it doesn't happen anymore.
Now I've discovered that it's next to impossible to change the training rates for a character's skills. Dragging the pie wedges on the skill screen to allocate more or less training to a skill happens way too fast, and only clockwise. I click and hold to select the pie wedge edge I want to move, and the moment I move the mouse the tiniest bit, the thing is spinning around.
Is this the same problem where the CPU is too fast? I still haven't tried a 3rd party tool for that. Too much work and too scary.
