Okay, so I got KQ7 from the promotion of last weekend and I know that there's trouble when picking up the fireworks in chapter 5.
But I have a similar problem at Chapter 4. I'm at Malicia's house and need to enter it. I dug up the hole at the back of the house, but when I sneak in, I have no time using the Defoliant on on the dog. Instead, Malicia catches me instantly.

Sadly, the download folder has no option to change the DOS-Box input, like for Gabriel Knight. At least I can't find it.
So, yeah, how can I fix this problem?

You can slow down KQ7 by pressing CTRL+F11 and speed it up pressing CTRL+F12. This is standard for games using DosBox.

Reduced the speed to 1 %, it still didn't work and I was sent instantly to the scene where Malicia catches me. :/

Just making sure, but are you sneaking in when you hear the dog barking? You're supposed to leave, then come back multiple times until the dog isn't barking anymore

I KNEW I was remembering something wrong when I played that! A scene with Malicia talking to her dog was supposed to trigger!
Thank you so much, this was the problem I had.

On a related note, I even found KQ7's DOS Box and managed to change the configurations. Made it past the firecracker without blowing up. I was so worried about this scene.
