Possible spoilers. I have the original King's Quest III, and I am around the 26-27 minute mark and have every item other than going to the store. I can not get past the Bandit's house. I have restored and re entered the house so many times, and the dude just will not go to sleep. I have even started over numerous times, even cheated with a walkthrough, and even following that, the bandit is still awake so I save and restore about 15 times in a row, and still, get bonked out of the tree. Is it a glitch or something? I know what to do, but it's not happening. I completely exited the game, restored and once I got in there, but forgot to save and well, back to the drawing board. even restored where I was successfull once and nope, no go.

I'm sure it should be completely random...

I haven't played the classic version since about ten years ago, but that's what I remember. Especially since if they robbed you you'd need to go up there to get your stuff back.

When you went up the ladder, you'd either see him awake, asleep or there would be no-one there.
