when i launch KSP it runs fine i get into the game as soon as i go to edit ships in the building area it opens and is coverd in pink the crashes please help guys

First, make sure that your system actually meets or exceeds the minimum requirements. Then, you should try to update your graphics drivers. You should also try to download the game through Galaxy or the GOG Downloader if you haven't done so as your download might have been corrupted.
