I haven't bought and tried myself; but I owned it back in the day - and never could get it to run without crashing (game, and also messing up the running OS).
If it works for you in the GOG edition, please leave a quick comment.

I'm not concerned about the money, but about the waste of time (and boosting sales numbers for crappy software).

As of right now it seems to work unlike the steam version that has the stuttering and crashing from the start of the game.

I'm struggling to get it to work. At first it loaded into menu and locked at press A to continue. I downloaded an anti stutter fix and extracted file ot the directory and now it just quits out the game upon reaching the menu. Will probably ask for refund/credit but will tinker about with compatibilty modes and run as administrator first. I'm using windows 10 64.

The second game runs perfectly but I can't resolve the stuttering issues with the first. Having the same issues as Vargas78 and the pcgamingwiki fixes haven't worked.

I've finished the first one 50% and so far no technical issues and no major stuttering (Win10 / GTX1060).

Still playing the first game, no issues so far. Completed the second game, crashed once but the computer hasn't been restated in a good while and playing through the same mission has no reoccurrence.

Bought it today. Game freezes when I try to enter the graphics settings in the menu. I can start the game but it stutters (every few seconds it freezes for a fraction of a second), which is probably the same issue as others here also have.
I use Windows 11 (gtx1060)

For those with gaming laptop setup, Windows 10 or 11, and USB m+k, I've found two options if Kane and Lynch: Dead Men is stuttering.

1) If you're planning to play using the USB mouse and keyboard, check the pcgamingwiki and get the dll file from the"Use DInput8Wrapper" link and drop it in your install folder.

2) If you're planning on using a gamepad, make sure the laptop keyboard and trackpad are enabled, then disconnect the USB m+k before starting the game (it has full gamepad support for the menus as well as gameplay). I still had a 2.4 GHz USB adapter for a wireless headset connected and that didn't seem to cause any issues.

EDIT - if you're planning on playing with a gamepad, it seems that pulling out the USB m+k at anytime gets rid of the stuttering so should work for a desktop PC setup too.
