I remember buying this game when it was originally released on PC. If I remember correctly it was a Games For Windows title that had full controller support. I remember playing Kane and Lynch with a controller. Did GOG remove controller support? Is there a way to re-enable controller support?
The controller is enabled, but does not work.

If I remember correctly, it only worked with an Xbox controller back then, and nothing else.

I was gutted to find that out because - again, if I remember correctly - the only way of playing this game in co-op mode was on the same computer (split-screen) with one of the players having to use an Xbox controller.

My brother and I wanted to play the game in LAN and we did not have any Xbox controller. Imagine our disappointment…
Xbox controller uses x-input, so 360 and xbox one controllers are both forwards and backwards compatible on PC.

Here is a possible fix that helped me with my Logitech F310 controller on the GOG version:

The last comment on the thread fixed it. Thanks

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER > System > CurrentControlSet > Control > MediaProperties > PrivateProperties > Joystick > OEM , then all of the games are here. Mine was the one that had a generic Bluetooth xinput listed, I changed it to Controller (Xbox One for Windows)." (quoted n3rdout from the Steam Thread.)
