I am completely stuck here. I've looked at 2 different walkthroughs,which strangely are at odds with one another as to the placement of the doors to re direct the steam to the butter statue. If I turn one door one way,I am blocked off from advancing in ANOTHER tunnel. I've been at this for TWO DAYS.
Does anyone have a saved game (GOG version,please) where the steam/fire is properly re-directed and I can go to the (melted) black statue and get the rock? It would be MOST helpful.
If so,please LMK and I'll privately email you so you can send it to me. This is WAAAY too frustrating! OR...you can post it here and attach it.

It's actually quite simple. Just map out all the door chambers on your tunnel map (Arthur will automatically start doing it in the second or third room), then direct the fire from the two bottom steam chambers into the butter room. Just make sure you block off all the exits once you get inside (the entry vent, the arboretum, the monestary and Khan's tent).
