Hi guys,
So I just picked up JA2, haven't installed any mods, and I'm loving every minute of it. I've gotten to 6.46am on day 14, and the game keeps crashing back to windows.
I'm running Vista 64 bit, and I have not installed any mods for JA2, running it as-is downloaded off gog.com
Has anyone experienced this, and if so, have you been able to resolve it? Thanks!

This question / problem has been solved by Ralackkimage
When its getting close to the time of the crash go into tactical view and wait until you pass the crash time, wait for a good minute to be safe. This should let you continue.
Thanks Ralackk, I'll give that a try. Do you know if this is a common occurrence for others? Does it happen to you often when you play JA2? Or only once a game, etc?
happens from time to time, once or twice per play through

Great, thanks guys! Good to know about this bug, and Ralackk your solution works for me. Thanks again.
V1.13 mod fixes this bug
Same problem here with the time compression. And I can't even enter tactical view to let the time pass, as suggested. It crashes in about 1 second.

EDIT/FOLLOW UP:

In lieu of modding the game (which I definitely do not prefer), I have found a temporary work-around for my particular bug. It's unreliable and inelegant but it worked for this one situation, at least.

Since I couldn't compress time and the tactical view would also crash quickly, I immediately clicked to exit the area (doorway to above) once I switched to tactical. This would prevent the crash from happening. No idea why!

After I interrupted whatever was causing the crash, I could play the game as normal. I've only played about an hour so I'm not sure how 'fixed' my current game is at this point. I will update if anything changes.
