Well, the game runs but I would not say it runs well on my intel core2 duo. I have the wobbly wheels, and music looping issue.
I am able to play the game in software mode, but not D3D or glide. When trying to add the -glide in the shortcut the game crashes saying "Failed to initialize 3D hardware acceleraton"
Is this an ATI only thing? I have a 4870 Toxic card, and really do not feel like reverting to older drivers to fix this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I'm running the game on a HD 4870 and Windows 7 Ultimate. This is how I got it to work without the issues you mentioned.
Read up on it here:

It's a page I created with input from this forum.
I couldnt find the ATIUMDAG.DLL you speak of in the 9.5 drivers. I tracked one down in my windows folder from the current 10.2 catalyst, and used that. Followed your step by step, game loads in glide mode now. Thanks, although my looping music problem still exists.

If by looping music you mean that you only hear 1 track per mission, and that the track is repeated endlessly, then I also seem to have that problem. I'm not sure if that also was the case in the original game, so I wonder if that's a bug or not...

It's definately a bug. The music doesnt cut out during cutscenes, and nor does it randomize the tracks after the song is over.
Just to recap for those with windows 7, the above things stated make the game fully playable.
1) Copy the ATIUMDAG.DLL from your windows folder (it's in there somewhere, dont remember offhand)
2) Download the dgVoodoo glide program from a safe website
3) Follow these steps next http://interstate76.wikia.com/wiki/Fixes_%26_Tweaks
4) Play the game
The only bug I personally have is the fact that the music keeps looping (not a big deal). Other than that the game is fully playable, no crashes as mentioned before.
Props need to go to GoG.com for re-releasing this game. To those on these forums making an effort to help work out the bugs, thank you. For those whinning, and bitching at GoG you need to format your harddrive now.
