I recently reinstalled Windows XP, and I downloaded and installed the updated version of I'76 (from October 2013).

The game installed fine, but when I try to launch the game it fails and I get an error message about GOGLauncher.exe complaining that the application is not configured properly and it suggests that I try to reinstall the game. Reinstalling the game does not do the trick.

I read somewhere on-line about installing vcredist_x86, but that did not do the trick either. Is there a specific VC++ runtime that I need, or something else? Any help would be appreciated!

System Info:
- Dell Dimension 3100
-Windows XP (sp3, 32bit)
-Nvidia GeForce 6200

NOTE: I was able to play the older version of I'76 (from GOG) fine on my previous XP setup.

EDIT: Trying to start the game from i76.exe also fails. Attached are images of both errors.

I tried installing the .NET 4 Framework today, but that has not fixed it either.
I contacted support and the were able to help me resolve this.

They directed me to download and install these packages:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5638
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5582
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8328

So if anybody is having any similar issues, that would probably be a good place to start.

And a BIG thanks to Genoan of GOG.com Support who did a great job helping me out quickly.
