I have exactly the same problem. Already contacted support. People in the steam forums complain as well.

Some say it works on Windows 7/8 but not on Windows 10.

I had to rename nvd3d9wrap.dll and it works. Please note that you can have it in Program Files and Program Files (x86) directory for 64 bits systems.
