Back in 1991-1992 Dark Horse published a comic version of the story of Fate of Atlantis. It's a pretty decent take on the story as well. Personally I read it when it was printed here on the Phantom magazine, I still actyally have it.

I don't know if it is even in the realm of possibility, but I do think the comic itself could make a nice extra for the game. Here's some info about it. http://indianajones.wikia.com/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Fate_of_Atlantis_%28comic%29
There was also another fate of Atlantis action game not sure why did not become popular

The comic would be a nice extra, but yeah, I doubt it will ever happen considering the comic is owned by Dark Horse and Disney put an end to all Star Wars and Indiana Jones licensed comics deals with Dark Horse when it acquired LucasFilms.

The comic version of the game had some differences to the plot of the game.
Interesting fact: there are also comic book versions of the two cancelled sequels to Fate of Atlantis, "Spear of Destiny" and "Iron Phoenix". The games were meant to be Fate of Atlantis-style but LucasArts went with Infernal Machine instead.

Elements of the plots of both cancelled sequels would make it in to Infernal Machine, like the Shambala sanctuary in the Himalayas and unearthly monsters guarding various artifacts.
