I-War does not recognise my X-45 throttle properly, when I move my throttle it uses the speed over-ride type throttle instead of setting a speed. I think this is due to Windows setting my Throttle as a 'slider' type control, the game reads this and sets the slider axis to the forward/reverse over-ride speed controls. I have to use the 5 and 6 buttons on my controller to set the speed. Is there any way to switch this around so that the actual throttle itself is used for setting speed and buttons on my stick for the over-ride controls?

I tried PPJoy but I can't seem to get it to recognise my controller's inputs.

A minor annoyance really but it's annoying to have to set my throttle dead centre if I want to use set speeds. Aside from that I am surprised that the game managed to map the axes pretty well, the dials on my stick are used to control the lateral thrusters by default. A nice touch.

Edit: A further annoyance is that it seems the roll keys are mapped to 9 and 10 which on my controller are part of the 'mode' switches. I have to set the switch to mode 3 (button 11) or my ship rolls around. Took me a few minutes to figure that one out as I span around helplessly. It would be nice to remap or disable those completely as I have the rudder for roll.

I'll relate my only experiences with this exact same problem.

I-War seems to do a pretty complete job of mapping the standard X, Y axes (joystick), Z axes (throttle) but if it can it will also try and map the rotation axes (RX, RY and RZ). For instance it automatically sets the RZ axes to my rudder pedals and auto sets RX and RY to throttle switches/knobs.

Like yourself the throttle control is set to speed override control (not the easiest to control) and I also had to remap the set speed controls (and use them with the throttle centred).

I have tried disabling the throttle axes (if only for comfort), so there was nothing controlling the Z axes in theory but I-War (or DirectX?) then remapped (what was) the RZ axes control (rudder pedals) as the Z axes controller.

As there are no options in game to set the throttle axes as a set speed control rather than a speed control I think we're stuck with the I-War throttle axes default.
The throttle for my Logitech Extreme 3D works, but I want to set it so that I can invoke negative throttle as well. Ideally, I want to set the throttle's "zero" to the center position, therefore I can move it down to go backwards.

Logitech's profiler doesn't seem to allow this. Is it even possible?
