Heyya there :-)

I bought I-War a few minutes ago and see that there are the German and French Text-, Videos-, and Audiofiles are included aswell like in the original european release.

My small question is, how to activate one of these languages in this game?
The parameter -german or -french works well on the iwde.exe, but this is the standard executable and has the same problems like the retail version i have bought many years ago. So not really a compatibility to modern pcs and only software rendered graphics.

Is there a workaround to use this paramater in the gog-laucher without to rename all french- or german files and folders into the english ones? :-)

Thanks for help :)

This question / problem has been solved by Ravengerimage
I don't believe the GOG launcher does anything special for compatibility , so you can create a shortcut directly to the games executable like you said and use the French or German languages that way.

To use the 3Dfx Glide rendering you just need to add -b -16 to the shortcut command line as well as -german or -french
Ah, yes you 're right :-)

I was confused because it runs to slow on my machine (like my retail) after i tried it with the I-War.exe. But i had forgot that i enabled the Starfield blur before. After i deactivated it again everything is allright :-)

Thanks :-)

And for Defiance it works as well, only that i have to copy the videos, audios and textes from my original defiance disk :-)

A win7 runable german version of my deluxe edition because of gog.com. Thank you very very much :-)

Hello!

I have the same problem, and adding -french -b -16 into the shortcut doesn't work. No french version, etc.

Any idea?

Thanks :)
