One of the things I really miss for this game is a keycard, I found one here.
Problem is that it is far from complete, it misses the turretfighter commands and several other keys as well and I still don't know how to launch flares in this game.
It is so annoying to go through the manual every time to look for a key. :(
I'll try to remember to scan my original a bit later today.
Scanned, at 300 dpi. Someone else will have to do the stitching since I suck at that stuff. Sorry about that.

Dammit, it's not letting my attachments, you know, attach. Lemme try something else.

Okay, apparently it's a 2MB cap total, not per pic. If you wanna PM your email I can send my four scans to you.

You actually got a keycard?
Ok, I will PM you, thanks! :o)
Flares are automatically launched, but I wrote many years ago a manual countermeasure mod which allowed you to press a key to launch them.

Aha, that mod would be interesting to apply.
I also noticed some other strange ommisions, like it is very awkward to see how many flares you have left, it is only indicated in the enginering screen and for that you have to cycle through all systems to see it. And the same goes for active sensors, it can only be turned on or off in the enginering screen, it would have been much more convenient to have just a key for that.
Since sensors are brought up, what is the purpose of turning off the sensors and reducing the overall signature? There are a couple stealth-type missions, one using a ship other than your primary combat vessel, but I think the game dialog mentions speed being the factor and not electronic noise. Does the electronic signature actually play a role in the game?
